Hello, I'm Mitch Woodcock. First time Cadillac owner here. I have a question for the group. I'm wanting to do a LS swap on my 05 STS V8 RWD and I'm wondering if the Northstar factory trans gonna link up to the 5.3 that I'm wanting to put in also if so is there some type of pair between ECM and TCM that needs to take place to work together. Any help would be greatly greatly appreciated. Thank you.

There is very little plowed ground involving engine swaps and upgrades with these cars.. It's not a thing that Caddy owners do. Give it a go and tell us how it turns out.

It has been done, there’s a guy who’s swapped a LS with a “turbo 400 transmission. He didn’t however hook up the windshield wiper system. He didn’t reveal if everything still works ok.
