1994 Eldorado, 110000 miles

Driving home yesterday, I stopped at a store close to the house. So far no problems. I cut the car off. When I left, I had driven 1/4 mile and the "low oil pressure" warning came on. I was at my driveway so I pulled in.

I cut the key off and started the monitor systems and everything checked ok. No warnings, car sounds fine, plenty of oil. Got a clue what is going on? This is the second time this has happened, in the same place.

Thanks for any help,
Ronnie

It's likely the oil pressure switch. Rather common issue with high mileage cars. These electrical switches do "wear" over time. A new oil pressure switch should fix you right up.

Be sure to get a factory OEM switch and not aftermarket. Aftermarket switches more often than not have the wrong calibration.

Thanks for the help. I order the oil pressure switch today.

Got any idea where it's located on the motor?

Thanks,
Ronnie
