Wife drives 100-150 miles per month. None on highways. At 80 years old will probably give car up in 2-3 years so don't need long tread wear warranty. What is best and cheapest tire to buy?

Cadillac owners don't settle for low-enders. It'll not only ruin the ride, but affect the re-sale. Being 80 doesn't mean settling for less.

Tire rack.com is your best resource. There are only a few choices in that size.

I just noticed on TireRack.com that the Firestone Destination LE2 is available in 235/55/20. I had them on my last vehicle (in 245/55/19) and really liked them - reasonably quite and comfortable, very good wet performance and decent snow traction (not as good as dedicated snow tires but better than any other all-season tire I've used).

$75 cheaper per tire than the Michelin Latitude Tour HPs that are the OEM tires.
Probably Runway tires.
?

Edit: Never mind, just realized that Runway is a brand/retailer.
Runway Enduros seems to be what all of the used car lots are putting on their cars now.
