Hey guys im having a major problem and hoping someone out there can help. I have a 2007 sts with hid headlights. The passenger side has water in it and has caused my low beam light to
go out. I took it tho shop and was told that the water could've fried the ballast. The question
that I have is if the ballast was fried would my hight beam light still work? Thanks in advance
for the help.

...high beam is conventional ( 9005/HB3 ) and doesn't "need" a ballast...only low beam is hid and needs/uses a ballast...

My ballast went. Banging on the headlamp assembly caused it to come on sometimes. Eventually it died completely. Can be had for $100 online...

Check the part number and be sure to get the exact one. Not 100% sure but I learned there were two or three different ones for our cars.
