Hey guys.

I bought a 2001 Seville STS that turned out to have a cracked block. I poured some Bars Leaks HG1 in it as a Band-Aid for now, but definitely am looking to swap in a good engine (prefer 2003).

I'd prefer to get a used engine due to budget, and would like to get one from a recycler so at least it would have a warranty.

What experiences or nightmares have you guys had going this route?

Any advice would be welcomed.

Thanks

it MUST be a VIN-9 motor
from a 2001 through 2003 Seville STS - Deville DTS - or Eldorado ETC -

a VIN-Y motor
from a Seville SLS - Deville BASE or DHS - Eldo ESC - has different intake cams
