I've done a lot of searching on this and I just can't seem to find much helpful answers.

I have a 2005 Cadillac CTS. Right now im running the stock 16" wheels with winter tires and want to get some summer tires this spring.

I've decided I want to get 18" wheels. After looking around I found Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 wheels on ebay (ebay item # 250657658147).

I know the size in that eBay listing wont fit, but I contacted the seller and they can get in different sizes.

There are only two things I know for sure.

The rim size needs to be 18" and the bolt pattern needs to be 5x115.

What I don't know is what width of rim i should get, what offset I need, and what the hub bore needs to be.

Also what size tire I should be getting I don't know either. I'd like to keep the total circumference similar to my winter tires so my speedometer stays the same all year round.

Your help is appreciated.

stock rim width is 7.5 " i think. but most go with 8.5" aftermarket rims
tires for 18 i think are 225 45 18 stock, you can go wider if you want. use a tire size calculator to dile in the size you want... im on 245/35/20 just for a idea of what fits with no rubbing.
hub bore is 70.3
bolt pattern 5x115
recommended offset is usually +35 to +42

You can also run a bolt pattern of 5x114.3 with hubcentric rings with no issues. I had 19" Stern wheels with this bolt pattern with no issues, even had it up to it max of 130 mph with no unwanted vibrations. Also the 5x114.3 fit a lot of other vehicles so for resale options down the road I would get them due to a larger market if you want to sell.

Thank you.

I looked at a tire calculator and for 18" wheels, 245/40/18 gets me the closest to the same circumference as the original tires.

If I went with 18x9" wheels and the 245/40/18 tires there shouldn't be any problem should there?

My winter tires are 205/60/16 I think.

What kind of ride and handling difference will I notice?

And how do I know what offset to choose?

Sorry to bump the thread but I was hoping to get an answer on the above post so I can make my decision of what wheels and tires I need to get for spring/summer.

Thanks!
