Hey Everyone

First and foremost, this is a great forum and I really like reading everyones posts and comments. Very valuable information.

So, I decided that I want to get a V Coupe - but rather than order it, I want to pick one off the lot. My first choice in color was White Diamond w Ebony/Saffron interior. I then wanted to see a coupe with Satin Graphite wheels. The dealer has one WD w/ebony fully loaded with Satin Graphite wheels. It doesnt have the Saffron interior, which is something I wanted at first. The only thing about this car is that they already put the license plate bracket on the car (law in NJ) however I was trying to locate one without.

The other one I saw was Radiant Silver w/ Saffron and Satin Graphite wheels. This car has everything except a sunroof. I really like how the Satin Graphite looks with Silver. Oh, and this one doesnt have the front bracket installed. Go figure :)

Just looking for other opinions on the choices I listed above. Has anyone else seen Satin Graphite on any of these 2 colors and any opinions on which look the best? The White wouldnt have the Saffron interior but everything else. Stupid question - would anyone let that front license bracket bother them?

Thanks everyone!

I think it's a matter of personal preference. I live in NY so I had the front license plate put on; I hate it but I don't want to get pulled over for no reason. I got too many tickets in the past driving without the front plate so I decided to just put it on.

You should decide what you like and don't worry about other people's opinions. Many people love the safron; I personally hate the Safron interior. Many people love the yellow or red calipers; I don't like the look at all (on a Cadillac). Most people love the suede steering wheel; I much prefer the leather. There's one thing in my opinion that is a must for the V-Coupe: Recarros ......

My preference is a 6 sp manual, ebony interior (no safron), Recarros, leather steering wheel, the normal silver or polished wheels, no colored brake calipers, and no sunroof. That's what I chose for my car 6 months ago and I'd choose the same if I was buying right now. I chose Black raven, but I like all the exterior colors except the red. Good luck, it's a great car......

I'm not a fan of the saffron at all, make sure it stays out of your beautiful V coupe! You'll be glad you did down the road as that awkward yellow "saffron" color only gets more awkward with time.

I think you should grab the White Diamond with the Satin Graphite wheels, that is a devastatingly good looking combination right there, you can't go wrong. The only reason I went with TG for my car was because I was impatient and there were no WD coupes available, I told myself that I could always wrap the car in matte white vinyl later if I was really desperate to have the car in white. So don't blow it, go for the Diamond baby!

**Edit** In regards to the front plate bracket already having been mounted, I was in the same situation. I ended up having my friend just fill the holes and paint match at his body shop, it is flawless (except I just got pulled over the other day for failure to display front plates). You could always do that, or you could go a cheaper route and just get some small bumper plugs paint matched to your car and pop em in there. Easy.

I made sure to get to the dealer right after my V coupe was delivered and before it was in the PDI process to make sure for them to NOT install the front license plate bracket on the front of the car. I don't care what the law states, I am not going to ruin the look of the front end of the car with that stupid license plate bracket.

The problem is most dealers automatically put them on, especially in states where it's the law to run a front and rear license plate.

I ordered my car and had it built the way I wanted. The wait wasn't that bad.

Like V-Twin said,
Order exactly what you want, its worth it. Oh and never mind the "naysayers" about "your interior choice", their opinion is just that, you will be the one getting all the compliments on the combo!
Regards,
George
