08 CTS 4
Looking for a diagram or cut out information for cutting an access door in the back seat to get to the fuel pump.

Also wondering if the 08 Camaro v6 with LLT engine has the same fuel injector as the 08 CTS with LLT engine?

You are funny. Thank you.
I guess the better question about the fuel injectors is I get a part #12669384 for the Delco injectors and Rockauto seems to think they are the same as part #12638530.

I can find all 6 remand on ebay for part #12638530 but not my original part number.

Are they the same or are these off brand? Seems to me 12638530 are Bosch and I was told only Delco or Delphi.

I'd say it's probably because some cars come from the factory with an access door to the fuel pump built in for convenience, Honda is one that comes to mind. It just needs to be covered after completion, or you may end up with stowaways in the car, especially if kids have left crumbs in the back seat.

Click the "info" button on Rockauto when it's available next to the part. They are good about including a list of all the part number transitions for the part, which often can be as many as three, or four.

If you have near, or greater than a half tank of fuel in the car, the level must be reduced before you release the pump cover. If you do not, fuel will spill all over the place and that can cause a pretty good scare in addition to being extremely dangerous during this staticky time of year. Make sure you have a fire extinguisher on hand, or two, or three.

I've had a few GM cars with fuel pump access doors, the last being my '05 leSabre.
Convenient, but you hope to never need to open it.

The plastic is pretty close to the metal there, huh? I guess it makes sense to not weld. If I did weld, I would likely put an oversized piece over top of the hole - the risk of sparks or globs of metal would be zero. It would get hot though - and perhaps enough to melt plastic bits.

I like Joseph Upson's method of folding and folding back and sealing.

It costs too much in the end now days. I remember several years ago while at work, a woman pulling her car with a fire under the hood into a huge parking lot with numerous open spaces, especially out where employees had to park and for some reason parking neatly in a parking space in close proximity to some of my coworkers vehicles. Close enough to cause heat damage to the paint.

The adventure was continuing to drive the car no less than about 100 yds from the main road into the parking lot area, instead of just stopping and getting out. Without a doubt, a woman's thought processes are different than man's. To quote a comedian, Men are analytical and women can be analytical to. We both understand that 1+1 = 2, but to a woman, some times 1+1 = cat, not even a number. No offense Joslynmaliky, just pointing out how men and women compliment each other with our wonderful differences (except when it comes to fire under the hood).

I once knew an amazingly stupid family in rural Indiana. One of the adult boys decided to cut open a steel 55 gallon drum that had held gasoline. That didn't last long, and neither did he.

Sadly, that happened to a young lad locally a few years ago. In shop class, was turning an old steel drum (previously held peppermint oil) into a bbq. Didn't remove the vent on the top lid and the drum hadn't been cleaned. Sad end to an 18 y.o. kid's life.
