I test drove this 99 DeVille the other day and it is just as beautiful as it looks. It seems the guy never even sat in the seats! I haven't done any mechanical checks yet but the CarProof is clean.

So do you think $5550 (CAD) is fair? It seems high to me for a '99, but I could be wrong. It's a beautiful car and drives great.

What is the mileage?? I didn't pay anywhere close to that for either of mine(98&97) and they had 74 and 35k miles. Unless it was less than 50k way too high. I see them with 70-80k on them for 3-4000 all the time.

It says on the ad that it has 106,286 miles.

No the mileage is in KM. Miles are just over 66k. That's not bad, but 99s are notorious for HGs. That said, it's in incredible condition.

It is absolutely beautiful and rides great. I asked them for their bottom price and they said all their prices are fixed, they don't negotiate. Pity.

Also I haven't gotten the service records or taken it to a mechanic yet so I don't know the real story other than the looks and the way it drives, so I'm not 100% set on the car. But it is so tempting.

It’s a little high but not crazy, most Deville's you get at the $2500 to $3500 will be poorly maintained and definitely give your trouble. I searched forever before I purchased mine, it’s a 98 Deville D’elegance with 62k, I paid $4500. I got this car because it was owned by an old man and it will completely stock, the way I like cars like this, no 18inch sub speakers or 42 inch wheels.

I wouldn’t suggest you by a Deville unless you have deep pockets or willing to do a lot of work yourself since they do have a high rate of head gasket failures. You must fully test a Deville before you by it. I found that after buying a 99 Deville D’elegance with a blown head gasket (I wanted a project) with only 89k that id would run fine and show no signs what’s so ever of gasket failure, I drove it two work for a few days thinking that maybe it was fine after changing thermostat and coolant, but after going up a hill the temperature shot through the roof and was pushing 250 degrees. I am in the process of pulling engine out and installing timecert’s. If you do not have deep pockets I would suggest you look into the Brougham/Fleetwood with the 350 rear wheel drive.

You should ask them "Has the Head Gasket Job Been Done" if they say "We Do Not Know" or "These cars don't blow HG", then you ask may i have permission to do a "Block Test" to see if the HG are good? if they say no, WALK, but if they say it has been done, etc. then get a bumper to bumper warranty as stated because: You NEVER know!
