Yep! Got myself a '99 STS!

Payed 4K for it, got 154K miles on it, PRISTINE condition, guys a private seller who's a Cadillac mechanic and is putting in a new water pump even though the old one isn't bad and is replacing all the heated seat modules even though they aren't bad. Head gaskets have not been replaced on this car but at that many miles I think if the gaskets woulda gone it woulda happened by now.

Will have pics as soon as it is at my house and hes done working on it.

One question, it makes a weird swooshing noise in the left back corner, anything to be worried about?

Cant wait to drive it!

P.S.
Heres the cool part, he said if the head gaskets do go bad he would replace em at no cost to me and the offer stands for up to a year.

Nice, sounds like you got a pretty good deal on the car, the HG do generally seem to go before that many miles if they're going to, would find out when the last coolant change was, if greater then 2 years do it. Only other big thing I would think of at that mileage is tranny fluid(sniff it, if smells burnt change) and then the suspension, if the struts are out it'll be expensive to replace with factory, or you can replace with Arnott.

Looking forward to seeing Pics!

The mechanic said he could flush it for us if we really wanted it to but he said hes worked on these cars for a while and that the fluid looked good and he didnt want to disturb anything in the tranny with a premature flush.

The car still road like a cloud so I highly doubt its got any bad suspension issues is there anything that I should look or listen for to see if the suspension either is or is going to go bad?

Agh, I've been using the wrong terminology, the mechanic said the ENGINE COOLANT was fine, but if we wanted him to replace it he would.

Sorry for the confusion, and never knew that button was there Ranger, thanks man!

EDIT: Engine not Trans.... Im retarded

Here are pics as promised!!!

Will take more tomorrow when its sunny out and hopefully when I can hand wash it. Got out late when the sun was setting behind my house so the pics have some bad lighting.

By the way all pictures were taken with this phone.

I was quite impressed with the quality of the pictures from it, not sure how they compare with the real camera savvy people around here.

Anyways, lovin' the car and loving owning a Cadillac!

Hmmm you mean the ability to smoke any import my idiot friends claim can spank my STS? Oh that power... LOVIN IT!

Yesterday my friend rolled up in his brand new Civic Si (LoL) and told me that it was the fastest thing in our neighborhood. I couldn't help but laugh, lets just say he was lookin at the back bumper of my baby from the word go. :D

Is there a certain size of rubber mats I should pick up? Or just buy anything from a store, I know that CostCo has some good rubber floor mats my mom has for her Envoy.

Yeah my best friend has a '94 Honda Prelude and I spank him every time. The only excuses he has is that my car is a "grandma, old people car". It's ok, he is very used to seeing my taillights. :D

I bought some Lloyd custom fit mats for my STS and they have been superb. Easy to keep clean and they look great. I ordered them from AutoAnything. http://www.autoanything.com/floor-mats/72A1463A0A0.aspx

They are pricey, but worth every penny. Custom fit for every car. Had them in my old Camry, mom's Yukon Denali, aunts Explorer and my grandpas Impala SS.

 on the new ride. Good to see a few more 99 owners here. Call a dealer with your VIN number and see if the alternator recall has been done. Odds are probably 99% its been done by now but I always check on recalls when I get a new (to me) car. The alternator is the only recall for our MY. Then look for a couple "hidden options": check the tire rating stocker on the driver's door to see if you have a Z; and tap the top of the lumbar adjust disk to see if you have massaging seats.

Make: CADILLAC Model: SEVILLE
Model Year: 1999
Manufacturer: GENERAL MOTORS CORP. Mfr's Report Date: APR 01, 1999
NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID Number: 99V070000 RQ99013
NHTSA Action Number: RQ99013
Component: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM:ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR
Potential Number of Units Affected: 29766
Summary:
VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES. AN ELECTRICAL SHORT CAN DEVELOP IN THE GENERATOR, EVEN WHEN THE ENGINE IS OFF.
Consequence:
THE ELECTRICAL SHORT COULD CAUSE AN ENGINE COMPARTMENT FIRE THAT COULD SPREAD TO THE REST OF THE VEHICLE AND ANYTHING NEAR IT.
Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE GENERATOR.
