Long term tech costs of our escalades.

Interesting story here..

But I'm not worried about parts costs due to damage.

This is my first escalade so what worries me is the costs of magnetic shocks, power running boards, cue system, and ac controls due to its integration in the cue system.

Has anyone ever had to replace a whole cue system?

Thanks.

Same with my 2005 Toyota Sienna XLE AWD Limited.
I had all the stuff: AWD, ACC, Leather, Fake Wood, Bose, GPS, XM Radio, Trailer Hitch for up to 3500#.
It was riding great and was very reliable.
It would have lasted many more driving years.
At 70 I did not want to wait too long for a new machine.
I also just wanted some of the new stuff.
Made it hard to find a vehicle that had the AWD and ACC and a lot of cargo room as well as a lot of new stuff.
The 2015i Platinum 4WD ESV has it all.
But at great cost.
But the minivan cost $40K and the Platinum cost $100K.
But the minivan looks like it cost $40k and like every other minivan on the road. Now the Platinum Esky, that is a gorgeous truck and it looks unlike any other SUV on the road. Granted, it cost a lot more than the minivan but when you walk outside to get into that truck there is a special feeling you get when you are stepping into a 100k vehicle and that feeling is worth every penny.

Enjoy your beautiful new ride?
