I could check this myself but every time I am near the CTS I forget or my wife took it. Anyway she says that when she is exiting the car and locks the door manually on the way out apparently the key fob unlocks it. Can the door be locked when exiting from the inside without using the key fob?

I'm not near mine at the moment, but it is configured -- somewhere in the settings -- to passively lock the door when I park and walk away.

Setup Keyless locking/unlocking - car will lock after you leave car and when you return just press the door button to unlock if you have the keys. Works with trunk too. Just squeeze the rubber pad above the license plate. See pgs. 2-4 and 5-48. Can leave key in pocket.
