Dearest Esteemed CaddyCommunity,

It is my contention that the proverbial
'Caddy Man' is most akin to 'Lincoln Man'.
Just ask Bad Bad Leroy Brown.
I respectfully suggest that there is significant
evidence of considerable Caddy/Lincoln overlap
here within this most esteemed of forums.
In spite of the foregoing, there is currently
a poll within the ambit of this esteemed
community where we are given a second
choice to the paramount Cadillac brand; and,
an unmeritorios German Car appears to be
the leader in this prestigious lounge.
Fellas... Say it ain't so!

Check the poll and vote Lincoln.

Best Regards,

TomDeville :cool2:

Caddy and Lincoln, born of the same man, and the only surviving American luxury brands. I voted Lexus. Not because I don't like Lincoln, but because I know that I can't simply vote for something without considering the pros and cons of each. I love Lincoln, I think in the mid 60s and 70s Lincoln built some of the most beautiful cars in history. But looking at what they're doing today made my decision an easy one.

This is the only part that I understood: Check the poll and vote Lincoln. :headcase: And if you're talking about what I think you are I already voted Lincoln

Lincoln and Caddy are the only surviving luxury brands, born to the same father, they are indeed like estranged brothers. However Lincoln needs to follow its older brother's lead and build exciting "new"cars. Where as Cadillac has made new vehicles, Ford has merely rebadged, added a few options, subtle sheet metal changes and called it a Lincoln. I think Lincoln should build cars that are Lincoln only, like Cadillac. Sure the CTS-V shares parts with Vette but from a visual standpoint the CTS(V) is a Caddy. Not saying that rebadging is a bad thing but know when to stop. Ford took Taurus, added rounded styling and made Mercury Sable, added leather and luxury options and made Lincoln Continental. However Lincoln is my choice, because some Lincolns are very nice cars 93-98?? Mark VIIIs, 94-05 T/C,95-05 Continentals(the 88-94 Ford Continental/Lincoln Taurus:D(thx Jesda)did a disservice to Lincoln.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner. That's the only way to keep Lincoln from going under.
