Have a 2004 Cadillac CTS, getting the code P2119 (Throttle Closed Position Performance) this is the 2nd consecutive brand new Throttle Body I’ve bought so don’t see why there would be an issue with the throttle plate not getting a response...have checked wiring & have all volt references there exactly where they should be, pigtail connectors have been checked & are fine. Definitely at a stand still with this one, trying to relearn throttle body but can’t get past codes to start procedure. Also have disconnected battery to try & force relearn & still having issues with rough idling as well as weird vibration from engine & hesitation upon acceleration...stuck in limp mode. Any ideas of what’s going on?

The TPS (Throttle Position Sensor) which attaches to the throttlebody may be faulty.

P 2119 - Throttle Actuator Control ............... OBDII diagnostics. Trouble codes description for GM

Bold text - no need to shout. We all hear OK, for the most part. Welcome to CF !!! I merged your identical threads. No need for duplicates.

Lol my bad, it’s my first post...didn’t know anyone actually took the bold text literally. Just put it in case people had a hard time reading. But that’s weird, you would think with the throttle body being new that the sensor attached wouldn’t be faulty & if so that they both would be end up being bad.

You mentioned "can't get past the codes." Do you have other codes, too? Regardless, clear them first and then start the relearn procedure.
