i think you need that "xs" notation due to fitment....

Depends if you have stock HIDs or not. If you do D1S, D1C or D1R. If you dont, im not sure what sizes you can use. Ask Jon he did a HID kit for his low beams.

They do sell the D1S bulbs. They are alittle hard to find and expensive compared to other size HID bulbs because they are not so popular. I got a 10000k pair of Valeo bulbs for $147 shipped. Valeo is the stock HID bulbs and ballast brand.

i was talking about at the particular site that he was referencing...
$147...that was just the bulbs right? or did yours come with HIDs-
I can't imagine a kit that low...
...which references kits....

Yes just bulbs... for the D1S size, $147. My car came with stock HIDs so I just wanted new bulbs.

My HID kit for my fogs tho, is size 9005. The bulbs and the kit was $100 shipped. Works great.
Yes just bulbs... for the DS1 size

so how does it work?
you have to buy size 9005 for the kit- then the size DS1's for the bulbs- no mod to the lights necessary? (other than mounting ballasts)
everything fits nice?
i thought that DS1's were the size of both...

Re-read my post, i edited it. sorry. lol:thumbsup:
but does it work like I said-
2 diff sizes to keep in mind?- 9005/kit and DS1/bulb?

Ok let me clear this up...

My car had HID lowbeams STOCK already. So all i had to do was change the bulb I wanted. That bulb size is D1S. If u dont have stock HID lowbeams then you need a kit, not just a bulb like me. What size bulb kit? I dont know. Ask another member that has done this. I know Jon has because he didnt have HID lowbeams and installed a kit.

Now, no ones car has stock HIDs in their fog lights. To do this you will need a kit, no matter what. If you want to do it, get a kit with size 9005 bulbs.

I hope you have a better idea now.
i am now murky clear...haha..a little better than i was . I do appreciate the help.
