Ive got a 98 Eldorado and i cant figure out how to replace the license plate light bulbs. I looked at the trunk lid liner with those plastic pins but i figured i should ask first before i break something. Any ideas? I'm stumped and I'm afraid I'll get hassled by local PD if I don't change them out soon.

Behind the trunk lid liner (the vertical portion) needs to be carefully pulled loose to access the screws that hold in the license plate assembly. Then you are able access bulbs serviceable from the back side.

You may want to go ahead & change out the back up bulbs at this time.

2057's for B/U

194's for the plate bulbs.

I have a 2001 Eldo and I access these bulbs by:
1. Remove the rear license plate.
2.Remove the four fasteners in the area behind the license plate.
3. Remove the fasteners from the bottom panel and remove it.
4. Remove the unit now and behind it are the bulbs.

Install in reverse. 15 minutes.
