For the record, I did do a search but nothing fits my needs.

The stalk seems to be worn out. When I bought the car I learned not to use the brights because they would stick on. Now it seems to be failing in other ways. When attempting to left signal the thing feels all flimsy and what not. The right signal "clicks" like it should.

The questions is can I rebuild this? How difficult is this to remove if I can and if not, what would you say is the going rate for a replacement? I'm not going to do anything crazy like buy a whole column or something like that even though I need to replace my clock spring. I had to disconnect the horns because when I would turn left the horn would blow. Very embarrassing!. I gues this car hates to turn left.

Oh boy, hard to explain. It is a round plate held in place by a ring that sit in a grove in the shaft. You'll know it when you see it and by how the tool in the link is used to depress it. A FSM would be invaluable.
