Can anyone tell me if the 05's are equipped with a CANBus system or not?... I am looking to swap to LEDs on my DRL and Tail Lights...Just wondering if I will have any problems with Hyper-flashing or Bulb out messages! Thanks
Do you have a link to what exactly i would need? thanksYes they are you will need load resistors, i think just on turn signals
what exactly is it? There is no picture and when i type in 05 ext it says it does not fit.....sorry if its a stupid question but i dont know what it is or what to do with it??? thanksYou won't need resistors on the drl's
You will need this for the flashers to prevent hyper flash and not splice the wiring

I find that hard to believe as gm didn't change the wiring and fuse blocks for the ext only(Amazon is bad for that on some stuff claiming it works for one but not the other(base vs ext or esv they are wired the same)Silent_Assasin said:what exactly is it? ok thanks, so would 1 of those fix it for every light if i was to have the problems from leds? Like would I just have to buy 1 and plug it in and not have to worry about hyperflashing at all?I find that hard to believe as gm didn't change the wiring and fuse blocks for the ext only(Amazon is bad for that on some stuff claiming it works for one but not the other(base vs ext or esv they are wired the same)
I hate they don't have a pic of it
What that is in the link is like the stock flasher unit except it won't do the hyper flash when you install leds
It goes on the back side of the dash fuse block in place of the stock flasher unit
Yes and it shouldn't act up with the brake lights/cruise control eitherSilent_Assasin said:ok thanks, so would 1 of those fix it for every light if i was to have the problems from leds? Like would I just have to buy 1 and plug it in and not have to worry about hyperflashing at all?
OK another question for you...would this also fix my issue i have with my leds in my lights in my exterior mirrors? I put leds in them and the leds stay on very faintly, so i have looked into it and people say to put resistors in them and they will shut off.....so would that fix that issue also, or would they still require resistors?Yes and it shouldn't act up with the brake lights/cruise control either
That sounds like bad bulbsSilent_Assasin said:OK another question for you...would this also fix my issue i have with my leds in my lights in my exterior mirrors? Really?....I read online about it and it actually seems really common, there is alot of people and info on how to fix it.....what led's did you use for your puddles?....I bought some off Superbrightleds, so they arent cheap ebay onesThat sounds like bad bulbs
I have leds in my puddle lamps and don't have that problem
Try different leds and see if that helps
I got mine from Super bright too....did/do your stay on very faintly?.... this is best i could find at Superbrightled ...https://www.superbrightleds.com/mor...578-led-bulb-9-led-festoon/237/#/tab/OverviewGot mine from superbrite and they work well
i hear you i have problems with my map lights. but i never heard of the problems you have but thats because im pretty new on this forum and it's my first caddy.lol...the lights i bought from Superbright work just fine, its just the fact that when the truck is off the lights stay on very very dim, you have to look close but you can see they are still faintly lit up....after reading alot of places online alot of people are saying its because they need resistors
Yeah, its not a Cadillac problem though lol....if you google led lights stay on when off, there is stuff all over google about it! hard to believe no one else here has seen this or heard of it! Seems very common with leds, no matter what the application!i hear you i have problems with my map lights. but i never heard of the problems you have but thats because im pretty new on this forum and it's my first caddy.
