I have not, however, I have always wondered about swapping them. I just can't find the time to take the bumper off to get to them. What would the bulb type be anyways? :hmm: Anyone know?Has anyone converted their DRLs to LED?
I am talking about the square DRLs on the HID system.
Um... that is off topic but I'll try to help you out. Maybe check your gas cap. You might of not tighten it enough of just put it in wrong.hey I just bought a cadillac devilleand have a problem with the check engine light, appearing on the dashboard even though there is nothiing wrong with the engine, because I had even got it check by a few mechanics and they don't even know what to do about it, or why is it even appearing. I can't pass penssylvania expections, because of that
yeah im aware of this, but it also activates the interior ambi lights, dims the nav screen and etc...my question stemmed from wanting to connect the power source of the drl's to somethingthat allows them to run immediately after the car is started. The LED pipe comes on if you turn the parking lights on (one click up on the lighting stalk I think). It looks cool, but it turns off the DRLs.
Really??? My ambi lights doesn't come on when I do it. and the nav doesn't dim.yeah im aware of this, but it also activates the interior ambi lights, dims the nav screen and etc...my question stemmed from wanting to connect the power source of the drl's to somethingthat allows them to run immediately after the car is started.
On the first generation CTS there was an option to turn the parking lamps into DRL's instead of the normal lamps if you were able to get your hands on a Tech 2. Maybe there is an option like that on the 2nd gens as well. I won't be able to get my hands on a Tech 2 until next month to check but if anyone else wants to look through it, let us know.yeah that was extremely weird....question for any forum members, would it be possible to connect the led pipe and have it start and work during the day? something like the bmw halo rings that are always on...this would be a sick mod!
You're talking about the stock bulb correct? That sounds discouraging if so. Maybe we can come up with a way to fit a different LED in there. The bulb for the DRLs is an AC Delco only part. They are not manufactured aftermarket, and most Cadillac dealers don't even stock them.
Not that I could figure. I've had the headlight out very weird bulb. You're talking about the stock bulb correct? That sounds discouraging if so. Maybe we can come up with a way to fit a different LED in there.
Same experience I had, except I had to order one and pay for it. The bulb number doesn't cross reference to any other bulb on the market as of yet. I had the same problem when Honda/Acura switched to H11 bulbs. No one had even seen them when they first came out in late 2001. They weren't available aftermarket until mid to late 2002.I work for Sewell Buick Pontiac GMC in Dallas Tx. right next door our Caddy Dealership. I own A 2009 CTS (my third CTS) with Every option except AWD. I have replaced the int. (map) lights, Lic. plate lights, fog lights and even added LEDs in my Chrome aftermarket grill (looks very tastefull) pics attached do not reflect fog light changes, I plan on adding some subltle LEDs at the bottom grill as well. pics to follow. I had a tuff time trying to find the bulb for the DRL so I had my Caddy parts pull one for me (they had exactly one). Very different looking. It has this black plastic housing at the bottom of a dome looking bulb. The caddy part number is 1035-1675 and the Delco number that I found on the bulb housing (no numbers on the bulb itself) is PA46GF40 Still no luck in finding a LED or Hyper White light for my DRL. Hope this info can help someone. Until we come up with a solution I will run my LED pipe and LED Fog lights.
