Leaving STS, moving to SRX.

3602 Views 37 Replies 14 Participants Last post by  Midnight
After 9 years and 90K miles and spending over 6K on repair bills on STS last 2 years, decided to buy new 2015 SRX. GM has a lot of incentives and saved over 25% off Invoice. I will miss STS but not problems. Maybe at the next trade, I might look at XTS. Was told most like STS. Enjoyed it and will float back in...

Thanks,
Steve

What is desirable about the 2016 SRX?
CUE?
Warranty?
More cargo room?
Bout the only advantage I see over the STS.
FYI OP, the XTS is going to be phased out when the CT6 comes out.

Is your SRX wifi capable? I'm not entirely sure they've released that option yet...
I would hope so, since my mom's 2015 Terrain already has it. Cadillac had better not be lagging that far behind.
Yes SRX is wi-fi available. Onstar is ding-donging me to join, that's why I bought nav. hard drive. Typo, 2015 not 16. SRX has a lot of cargo room ,suprisingly. Warranty 4yrs, at 50K. Free oil changes and service all filters. I have been watching youtube for CUE demos. Caddy has their own factory guy doing CUE demos along with others. The cue book is OK but the only way to learn is hands on in the garage. I got an email telling me my tire pressure was low. I run mine at 32 instead of 35. Really XTS is out? What is CT6
CT6 is Cadillac's New Flagship Sedan that is why they are phasing out the XTS.
It hasn't been officially revealed so I'd guess 2017.

Been told from a VERY reliable source they expect them in show rooms as early as summer 2016 with entry level pricing starting at 75k
I'd really like to see what figures the twin turbo v8 will pull...if only it was available in awd too...
Why would they come out with the XTS for only a few years? What's going to be the next Livery car?

As a bridge model to fill the gap in their line up until they could unveil a true high end lux sedan...
And they didn't put much work into XTS as it's an impala.
When I first drove XTS, I told the salesman the EXACT SAME WORDS...IMPALA... it's a small world.
Umm

to be correct...

The Impala is actually off of the XTS...

XTS came to market in 2013, Impala 2014...

Either way until you get into the V sport the XTS is NOT a drivers car.
That's what happened when I drove the Buick version of the Impala, I told him too this is an Impala.
What's the Buick version of the Impala? I wouldn't think it'd be the Lacrosse. But what else could it be?

...it's the LaCrosse...
Cadillac XTS, Chevrolet Impala and Buick LaCrosse all share the same (lwb) Epsilon II platform (also some other cars are built on Epsilon II...e.g. a Saab 9-5)
