My sunroof had been leaking (not draining) for the past few months.

The fix for a sunroof that doesnt drain is actually quite simple.

In the trunk pull the side of the carpet back that isnt draining and look for the rubber hose that goes though the floor. Pull on it, it will come right out. Then if you see anyhting built up in it, roll it in your fingers, make sure you have something to drain it into or your trunk will get wet. The just push the hose back in once it drains out.

You back seat will now be water free next time it rains.

When I did this, I didnt know that it would sray out like this, so I got a mouth full of what tasted like 3 month old water, then you trunk got wet. But its not clogged anymore, there was a build up on the end cus the tube closes off on the end (i guess so no bugs make a nest in there or anyhting).

Ive got the exact same problem, 91 eldorado barritz, big puddle of water on the back floor passenger side and a damp trunk, im sure it is coming in from the sunroof and the back drain on the passenger side is probably blocked. I've looked in the trunk for the drain hose but cant find one, i only find damp wires and lots of them. This probably explaines why my back speakers turn off and on. Where is that damn hose ?

GUYS.........My 90 Caddy had a sunroof. PIA
leaked from brand new ! Mine had 2 drain
tubes that ran down the front of the front
windsheild posts.

So NO sunroof in my 96 !
But the ol ball and chain just HAD to have one
in our 03 Deville! No leaks yet !!!!!!! :canttalk:

You could also locate the drain holes in the
sunroof water tray drain and blow them out
with compressed air..............geo

I took the interior of my eldorado apart on the weekend looking for the water leak, after the rear seat was removed and the sidepanels in the back and half the headliner, i discovered the inside of my car was soaked, after 24 hours in a heated garage it was semi dry. the sunroof rear drain tube runs down the passenger side at the back seat and drains onto the body and out a hole at the bottom, but my car had a flaw in the body where the water ran down the side of the body and came in the car under the back seat. I ended up lengthing the hose to the bottom where the drain hole is, im not sure if someone cut a piece off of the hose before i bought the car or its just a poor design by cadillac. anyways i hope the leak is gone, but man what a pain in the ass.
