I took my car to Cadillac to see if they can repair a leak under the power train warranty. They are saying there is no leaks anywhere. However when I did an oil change, where the transmission connects to the engine there was oil, and also there was oil/fluid where the drive shaft connects to the diff.

Here are pics from when I did my oil change.

Should I trust them that there is no leak?

Your pinion seal on your differential also appears to be leaking. I had mine replaced last year. From what I heard it's a very common problem on these diffs.

It should be covered under the power train warranty. And if you get either leak fixed, make sure that the other one is fixed at the same time. There are things like the exhaust and driveshaft that need to come out inorder to fix either of those leaks, no sense in pulling them out twice.

Sorry to hear about the concern. If you would like us to look into it, please send an e-mail to [email protected] with the vehicle VIN#, your contact information, situation, and dealership you're working with. Keep us posted and send a PM if necessary. Thank you and I hope you have a great holiday despite any car concerns!
