I know re-torquing the bolt is very important.

After doing a search, I found a post for a 97 Eldorado. The poster was told to re-torqe to exact specs. 37 lbs/ft & then 120 degrees.

Where do I find the specs for a 93 STS 4.6 Northstar? I don't want to assume it would be the same as the Eldorado.

I know I said the garage I'm dealing with is familiar with Northstars, but who knows if they're familiar with this particular issue. If I can provide info, I would feel better about this repair. Of course, I risk sounding like a know-it-all, but if he screws up, I highly doubt he would take the blame for my seized oil pump, or whatever else goes wrong.

A FSM would have the torque specs. I rather doubt that they have changed. Ewill3rd, AJ or cadillac tech can probably verify the specs if they stop by.
