Finally someone had info on this, Thank you very much. GT factory it iscustomizer said:Autoloc makes the WORST kit. There are two different types of kits, Bolt-on and Weld-on. For the escalade, the installation should be considered permanent, b/c the factory hinges need to be cut off. The bolt-on kits arent really bolt-on b/c there are no factory bolts that the hinge attaches to. You will have to align the hinge, and then drill holes and attach the new hinge with these bolts. The one i would use for bolt-on would be the Verticaldoors.com kit. For that truck I would recommeng the GT Factory weld-on hinge. It is superior to the vertical door kit, b/c it is made of a much stronger and heavier material. The bolt on kits have a tendency to flex and bend and come out of alignment much easier. The Gt Factory kits actually become part of the car and give a factory like feel to the door. It opens an closes much easier and when open it is much sturdier than the bolt ons. The downside is the installation. It requires alot of fabrication and welding, but in my eyes the end result is worth the extra work/cost of installation. One last thing, everyone is looking for a kit that lit up high. The installer gets to decide how high the GT factory kit will open. on some vehicles Ive gotten them to open higher than 90 degrees. the bolt on kits will not open anywhere near that. In most cases the bottom corner of the door will either be below or level with the roof line.
