Snap the fob apart and clean all the contact surfaces and make sure to remove all the grime that might be built up, you may even find trapped moisture in it. Put it back together and make sure nothing is worn and pressing against the contact surface simulating a button push, and that the battery is in tight. Make sure you are using the right battery of course, which is a CR2032 style. If after all that it fails again, it's time for a new fob and they are cheap on ebay.
