OK, this might be a dumb question...

When I'm parking, I pause CD-playback and then turn off the engine. When I come back later, playback automatically resumes aus soon as I start the engine. However, I would like it to stay paused. Is this really not possible?

I use the power button to shut off the radio. The car remembers that setting and doesn't
have the radio on when I get back in the car. I think you can also use the lowest, left-hand
button on your steering wheel.

How does that happen? Mine turns the radio or other audio input back on every time I start. Damn annoying as you cannot change anything while in reverse.
Conversely, the steering wheel button simply mutes the audio, without stopping it, so if you were listening to a book, etc., you miss a chunk.
