Which one do you think is better??? I am going to get a new filter, and it is going to be a higher flow filter.... I am not really concerned about the wear it will do on the engine, because i probably wont have the car that long anyway...... The only thing I am concerned about is damaging my delicate, and very expensive MAF.

SO what are your experiences with them......

I know, i know, but have you tried amsoil ones? I dont think either seems better or worse, and K/Ns are easier to get a hold of....

Also, i cant find the old threads discussing this!!

I use K&N They work good....No reason to change. Keep lookin' for those threads Wes! It'll keep you off the streets!

Well a cone ususaly goes on an aftermarket cold air tube. Unless of course your air box is designed with a cone style or cylider style from the factory. Even a factory style flat unit will be an improvment over paper. Better flow, better throttle responce, posibly better MPG (if you stay out of the pedel ). You won't be sorry. If nothing else the distance between maintnece is worth the money. 50k miles without having to touch it. You can't go wrong with that. I didn't even know Amsoil made filters. They got good oil though. Although, I'll never use their oil in my bike again. Made my clutch slip like mad.

I vote K&N also Wes. No experience with Amsoil, but the K&N is easy to find. I would also advise a drop in filter more for resale than anything else. Would you buy a used car with a cone filter? I would first think that someone had run the Sh*t out of it.

I had the KN panal on my 5.0 Merc. The only thing to watch that they don't really warn you about is letting it go dry. When you get it from the factory it is "pre-oiled." I checked mine 2 weeks after putting it in and it had the dry white spots. Therefore harmful particles may enter. I emailed K&N and mentioned this (I know I am ANAL RETENTATIVE!) and they said it should be good for 50,000 miles, and it should "hold" the oil in suspension. But I would check it once a month regardless. What about the Holley Powershot or the BG Rush filters? Why limit yourself, I'm sure at least the Holley is as good as a K&N. What is the price difference? I trust K&N though. (sorry to beat a dead horse KC)

The only thing is, with all of those other filters, I'm going to have to buy the cleaning/oiling kit over the internet rather than stopping by autozone.....
