Has anyone used one of these or know anything about them?

I just put one on my car and it sounds real nice and smooth and loud at high rpms

But as far as HP and gas mileage does it add, take away from or just do pretty much nothing?

Thanks You

Look what I got........

Many posts on modifications to the already (more than) adequate factory installed cold air intake system. Not as much bling, maybe a bit less noise at WOT, but very effective.

Intake air temperature??? Get a system monitor from www.scangauge.com and plug it into your OBD/CAN port. Monitor any 4 of 12 (or more) engine system readouts. You might be very, very surprised at the REAL OEM intake air temperatures as opposed to your aftermarket magic pipes.

:welcome5: to the forums friend. Thanks for signing up. :D

In this forum there's a search function. I know people say the search function sucks and its easier to just post a topic. In my opinion you should always TRY a search on these kinds of topics before posting. You will find TONS of info in a forum that's been around since 2003.

search terms: CAI + cold air + K&N + Volant (firsts page results)

A few years back, HaveBlue and I took our cars down to several chassis dynos, and did back to back tests of the stock airbox, TonyA modified airbox, Volant, and the K&N. Both the 3.2 and 3.6 cars were tested with identical air boxes (we actually cross shipped the air boxes/CAIs to reduce any variability). I did one further test and compared stock 17" wheels and tires to my 18's for some interesting RWHP loss assessments.

Search "Great Cold Air Intake Challenge", or something similar. The dyno results were also posted.
