Hey everyone, I've been on this forum for not too long. I'm 18 and from Toronto, Canada. I am coming from a Pearl White 1999 Cadillac STS. It was given to me when I was 16 and I drove it for two years and loved all the features that Cadillac offers in their vehicles. We recently traded it in for a pre-owned 2004 Cadillac SRX. It is Black on Black and has the 4.6L V8 engine similar to my previous STS'. It was only driven 95,000 kms by one previous owner and is in great condition. Loving the large sunroof even though it is still fairly cold here. Got a few questions for those with more experience with this SUV than I do. I know I am only 18 and most people say that you're lucky for having parents to get you these cars. I paid for 50% of the cost price and am paying for my own gas and insurance but I know a lot of young dudes don't have the SRX in particular. What kind of under the hood or exterior/interior mods do you guys suggest to be done down the road. It already came with the xenon lights and my first question was, is it possible to have the same lights put in for the fogs or are the regular lights the only ones that would work out for the fogs. Secondly, can anyone recommend any good remote starters? I was looking into the Viper StartSmart one which is compatible with your smartphones as my best friend works at Best Buy and gets employee discount on all those starters that they carry. I will definately be using the search feature before starting threads but just wanted to get answers to those two as I couldn't find what I was looking for through searching. Thanks in advance !

jasbains........if I were 18, I would take out the owners' manual and make sure everything on the SRX works, would spend my money on making sure everything from electrical to mechanicals were up to snuff. Then I'd start banking my money for the inevitable repairs while I detailed the vehicle top to bottom.

Hi. When I turn 18 and my dad gives me all his cars (read other forums to see more), I'm gonna take the third row seats out, put down the back seats and cover the back with astro-turf! What a blast! My buddies work at Astro Nurseries and got me a butt-load of Astro-turf at clearance prices!!! Anyway, I drive the SRX illegally all the time (no dl yet), cuz I'm so hooked-up with the city prosecutor (I'm tight with his daughter, iykwim). Anyway, just my advice, but you've got the beginnings of a fabulous passion-wagon. Go for it. Later.
