Does anyone know if the JE5 brakes fit behind the stock 7 spoke rims, I cant seem to find any info saying if they do or not, hopefully someone can clear this up for me with a definite yes or no.

I assume you're talking about the 17" stock wheels. Yes they do, my last car had JE5 brakes and those wheels.

LOL funny thing is, right after I made this post I was looking around on CL and found an STS being parted out that had them, even has a GU6 G80 rear diff.

Yes, they do, I have a 1SF, and has JE5 brakes, supposeadly, it originally came with
18 Inch wheels, and I guess they got stolen, so the previous owner put back 17"
wheels, So I have JE5 Brakes, with 17" wheels. Believe it or not, the 17's turn at
the same rate, as the lower profile 18's, so the 18's DO NOT increase gas mileage
at all, they JUST LOOK GOOD ! Happy Motoring !

That car does not appear to have come with the N93 17" (like my wife's 2007) or the N87 18" polished aluminum wheels (my 2006).

They fit perfecly. I have a STS with the JE5 brakes and I bought a set of 17 inch STS wheels for my winter tires and the were absolutly no issues. I put 235 55R17 tires on it because they were more widely available than the stock tires for the 17 inch wheels which were 235 50R17 and they hapenned to be pretty much the same height as my 18 inch tires so the car turns at about the same rpm on the highway.
