My car is losing coolant but there isn't a puddle under the car. It also throws white smoke out the exhaust while it gets to temperature. A guy I work with told me it is classic head gasket symptoms. Is this true?

do a BLOCK TEST -
the definitive test for failed head gaskets in a Northstar motor -

Alright thanks I'm having it taken to the shop this week and I will have them check that. Thanks again

you can do the test yourself in a few minutes -
autozone will loan you the test kit -
you just pay around $8 for the test fluid -

My parents took it in today while I was at school and yep it's a head gasket. Looks like I will be getting a new car within the next few weeks here...
