RRL's 'Deadline Detroit link substitutes well for the Bloomberg piece for those unable to access it (ex: subsequent articles grayed out and pushed me to register first = bub-bye). The DD blurb added choice bits to reinforce GM's apparent 'late to the party', 'spectacular vaporware commercials' and generally 'Not Ready For Prime Time' current challenges, all while they strive to keep a fanbase entralled and optimistic instead of running distracted to the next available 'actual real and I can really go buy one and drive it today' of other manufacturers' offerings'. Of course, it's pointed out all those other shiny objects actually visible to the naked eye are fraught with each of those companys' long records of at least as many recanted promises, engineering busts, quality cheats and recalls as in GM's trophy case.
My takeaway is the BB author's read is for other than brand-loyal diehards holding out for their only possible potential someday soon EV offering, that actually driving one ends up no great shakes, but a touch more interesting exterior styling, but there's generally better already on the street.
