All my non-car friends think it's time for me to get a sensible car after owning 5 vipers, well the last viper was picked up last weekend and I can't think of a more sensible car than a 556 HP Cadillac. I found a 09 black on black sedan 6 speed with Recaros, pano roof, and 55k miles for $35k, is that a good deal? What do you think I can offer the guy without being insulting? Was thinking $32-33k? Car looks to be super clean from the pictures but it's not local so I will have to get it checked out. Anything I should look for?

Other car's I am thinking about are:
My buddy's 2009 BMW M3 white 6 speed with red leather (scared as it will be out of warranty in July)
2010-2011 MB E550 (cheapest and can get with a warranty)
2010 Ford F150 Raptor
2012+ Audi A6 3.0T
2011+ BMW 550
2006+ Porsche 911
Another Viper (friends and family may disown me if I do this)
Corvette Z06 (may also get disowned as I had those before the Vette)

As you can see I am all over the place but I think the CTS-V is the best compromise of looks, comfort, speed, fun, rarity, value, and reliability.

Back on track, is the deal up top a good one? I think I definitely want a 6 speed and would really like to get Recaros as well, not that picky on color or interior color however this one is black on black

Thanks

Yea I just missed a different manual by a day but it did not have Recaros, are Recaros in a manual rare? I know manuals are rare and I guess Recaros are pretty rare so that makes pretty good sense that both in one car would be rare haha

I just took delivery of a 2015 CTS-V 6MN Coupe and have a new 2014 Viper coming in soon. This is my first Caddy and after taking its maiden 60 mile ride today I have to
say Iam very impressed and I just sold my Ferrari 430 Scud. I think the Caddy offers a great mix of style, luxury, power and fun all for a very fair price.
Iam very happy I chose the manual.

the eBay auction for my 2010 sedan with 22K miles, manual transmission, recaros, etc, virtually perfect condition save for minor curb rash on one wheel (%#@$*!), is ending today (Wednesday 3/18). $38K will beat the reserve, and it is not there yet.

You will know it I my car based on my cleverly disguised eBay member name, which is remarkably similar to my forum ID.

Get new friends, Vipers are completely sensible to me!
Hope you find your perfect V. You will love the V too, but for slightly different reasons. It is easier to blend in and be invisible (to most of the non-"car guy" public) with a V. :peeking:

I think the price is very fair. Your offer would not be insulting. But he may not except. I say give it a shot.
Wayne Gretzky said, "You miss 100% of the shots you never take."

I have that quote under the glass on my desk at work.

Getting new friends makes better sense.
