I went to a dealer todayin Long Island, NY and this is what he offered.
Automatic, sunroof, polished rims, recaro seats, sueded steering wheel for $67,800. Then he reduced it by $2,000 customer cash. I have a loyalty rebate of $1,500 because I had a bought a GM car in 2007. The grand total would be $64,300.

What is $2,000 customer cash?

He said factory incentive in lieu of low interest rate financing.

Seems like a really good deal. Looks to be they offered you Invoice price, then added the rebates. I would take it. Do you have a trade they are robbing you with, or just a cash deal?

Cash deal but only if I ordered the car on in stock cars they wanted more.

FWIW, I seem to recollect a forum member ( Southern Calif., I think) posting fairly recently that said the sticker price on the new 2011 he was looking at was $70k and change and he ended up buying it for $62K and change.

Is the 2007 a silver vette???

It was the dealer in Farmingdale. I could get any color I wanted so I asked about silver as I don't want to pay extra for others special colors.
