I'm shopping for an '06 V and wanted to do a 'straight-up' purchase without having to haggle with salesmen. Are there any dealers semi-local to NY reading this that would place the order?

'06 V, Black/Black, no other options. New order, not current inventory (ie, test driven) car, <10mi on Odometer.
No dealer prep. Call me the day the truck is delivering it and I will peel the shipping paper off and drive it away. I'll even back it off the trailer.
No front plate mount or dealer emblems.
No DMV filing, just the title. I will handle the tax/registration/plates.
No financing. $10,000 deposit (provided the car will arrive within a month) and remainder on delivery in cash or certified check, your choice.
60mo/100k GMPP warranty w/ $100 deductible.

$49,400 for this order (tax will be paid to NY DMV on registration).
I'm willing to pick the car up from NY, NJ, CT, PA, MA, basically anywhere <500 miles from Long Island, NY.

I've spoken with a few local salesmen but I'm tired of listening to the storys that I'm taking food out of their kids mouths... on this price they are pocketing at least $1,500 for doing maybe 20 minutes of paperwork with a guaranteed sale.

If anyone can do that deal, please shoot me a message.
Thanks.

depending on how much the warranty is, it could be possible. i would think about the smart buy (balloon lease) and pay it off on the first or second payment which what i am going to do. it will get you another $1750 in gm rebates...

The best thing to do is:

Go to gmbuypower.com and do a search for '06s.

Then contact the internet manager at the dealership either by phone or email.

I have also heard that Chesrown on Long Island is a great dealer to do business with.

Thanks for all the responses guys.

Fly: I worked it out and would be quite happy with that amount. I'm not looking to squeeze every penny out of a dealer, the is just what I felt was 'comfortable' for both sides.

B4z: searched that site almost daily until the first few started hitting the dealers. The problem with the ones listed was they were being used as sales demo cars. Within the first week a few had over 50 miles of test drives on them. My Iroc R/T was a dealer demo and has been a money pit of doom. Chesrown is Newark, Ohio. Were you thinking Newark, NJ?

Slk: I spoke with people at Paul Conte, Sarant, Caddy of Lynbrook, North Bay, King O'rourke (5 minutes from my house btw), Sun Caddy, and Atlantic. None of them were 'bad'. They all just gave the impression they were bending over backwards to sell it at MSRP (~$4k over invoice). When I started negotiating prices they gave the 'My manager would never let the car go for that price... They'd fire me... There's a list of people waiting for this car if you don't want it... etc.'

David: Thank you for your offer. I would take you up on it but you are ~700 miles from me. I'm going to baby the car home and during the break-in so I don't want to be on the highway for 9 hours at a steady rpm.
Hehe, you would have made a killing on just base CTS's alone this past summer. They are more of a me-too car now than Mustangs and Camaro's were in the '80's. :)

James: Thank you, I'll send the information to you from work tomorrow. I didn't realize you were that close (<250 miles), always thought you were down by VIR. Do you know aproximately when the next order could be processed?

RP: Hehe, they aren't all the worst, it just depends on who you deal with. My brother-in-law is one. I've seen him working until 10-11 at night doing everything possible to make his clients happy, explaining all the paperwork, studying to be knowledgable in the products, etc. He was stolen from Ford to Dodge because all the repeat customers, his satisfaction scores, and not to mention the subsequent numbers he puts up. On the other hand, some salesmen are agressive and would rather get as much as possible from each car and not worry if the clients come back to shop.

Florian: He might have been thinking Newark, NJ. Both Chesrown and Lindsay have gotten rave reviews in the forums. Dave is just a little far and flatbedding the car here would be close to $1,000. Taking it easy, I can drive home from Lindsay in ~4 hours.
PS, Neurotically Yours is AWESOME! Do you have all the episodes? Let me know if you're missing any and I'll put them up for you.

Thanks again everyone, the responses and help are all very much appreciated!
