I love the power and torque of the new CTSv, but I absolutely hate its looks. I think the STSv is a classier looking ride and before 08 it didnt have those crappy fender vents...
Ill keep my STSv, thank you.

Anyone else, or is it just me?

I'm really satisfied with my STS-V for now. I realize the 09 CTS-V is a faster, nimbler vehicle but I'm Ok. Besides I already see more 09 CTS-Vs than STS-V on the road :D

But am am jealous of the xtra power they have.:crybaby:
80HP is nothing to shake a stick at....Im also fond of the revised bulletproof rear....but I cant get over the styling.

I think the new cts-v looks loads better than the previous model. I guess its up to personal preference. In the end I am very happy with the performance of my STS-V when fixed of course.
IMHO The STS-V is just an all around classier car! I never get tried of looking at it.

Test drove a CTS-V with the old man he couldn't bring himself to buy it due to it still being Cadillac's bottom of the line car with a great drive train! So he purchased a used Bentley Continental GT :worship: The funny thing is the two guys in his neighbor that just got the CTS-V both stopped at his house to check it out when he was outside washing it!! He didn't pay too much more of over a new CTS-V.

With all that said I will own the CTS-V when my warranty is up on my STS-V!!:shhh: We won't tell the CTS guys that for now....
Bentley.....nice. Talk about big dollar repairs, though, sheesh.

I have driven alot of cars in my life and nothing comes even close to that Bentley! Fit and finish is absolutely ridiculous!!

Repairs will be interesting to say the least however I also learned alot about how the higher end cars work as far as repairs. There is one company that warranties these cars (like GMPP) policy can only be purchased at dealer! Depending on dealer rating will depend on what programs they offer and price!

Oh well he deserves it. Union Carpenter for the past 40 years 12 hours days at least 6 days a week since I can remember...
Honestly to me they are in 2 different ballgames... The CTS-V i simply a base model caddy (CTS) that they converted to pretty much just corvette running gear. Don't get me wrong, they are nice... but they still are just what they are, a base model Caddy with a big motor. The STS-V on the other hand was engineered to be a german 'super-sedan' killer... They took the 'nicer model' and then pulled the motor and massaged it to allow for the supercharger and high horsepower... I honestly LOVE both cars, and i would love to add a CTS-V to my lineup... but it just isn't in the same class to me.

I personally would not trade my STS-V for even the 09 CTS-V... I think that they both are amazing cars, but there is something that is so much more refined and fitting to me about the STS-V.

My 2c.

:yeah:
I can barely afford my STS-V, being a Service Advisor. The styling doesn't matter to me much anyway since I have always juged cars by how they drive. But, even if could afford one, a CTS-V2, it's too small for me and my "Peeps". While I'm not THAT big(5'11"-210), most of our friends are bigger than us and it's tight now!, so a CTS is too small. Besides, the wife and I are gaining on 60 years old and even though I used to drive a race car, I don't anymore, so an STS-V,with nearly 500hp, is a good place to draw the line.

x2 and well spoken -

The STS-V is more of a niche market automobile -- and I am with Florian; I like the looks much better than the CTS-V and there aren't tons and tons of them on the road that you see on a daily basis.

I'm very satisfied and keeping mine -- no question about it.
I would have to give the nod to the STS-V in overall styling. The CTS-V is a bit too bulked up for my tastes. I prefer the subtle body lines of the STS-V to the outrageous steroid-induced lines of the CTS-V. If I were still 19 or 20 I think my opinion may go the other way though. Both great looking Caddy's, but first place goes to the STS-V.
I know it's a different car, but I would rather have my STS V over my brothers 3.6DI CTS. I love the STSV, that powerband is amazing. I have contemplated on maybe switching them out. But besides the powerplant, there isn't much that catches my attention. :-/
STSV just looks more fitting than a CTS. I'm a mod freak, and I would rather pull a STS V in the low to mid 11s than a CTS V. thats just me though. :)
maybe, reason for that is cause i've never tampered with the N* motors. I've messed with the LS motors and those were fun!

+1 ive had 4 ls motor cars love them easy to work on and really easy to get into the 11's but i still think it would be cooler to make one of theses tanks hit a mid to low 12
One test drive of a 2009 CTS-V made up for its other short comings.
Ive test driven the 09V.....fast as hell...but, not my style. I prefer the subdued elegance of the STSv, not the boy-racer looks of the CTSv.

BTW, did I tell you the 09V is fast as hell....hoo fah!

Thought you would have mentioned if it was fast or not!!

I test drove one as well, it was FAST! Kinda sick to my stomach that I built a true mid 10 sec street car a few years ago and CTS-V with a few mods will be knocking at my door within a few months once all the mods come out. The cost of my street car would of been a huge down payment on that bad boy!! :banghead:

Although I agree with everyone about the styling compared to the STS, I WILL own the CTS someday! :lildevil:
