Me again... My caseless iphone slid into the console (under the black temp controls). I had the cup hole cover opened slight, and the phone was able to slide under the center console. I removed the leather pieces on the passage side of the console and cannot find the phone. I was able to remove the black leather middle temp console and there is too much that needs to be removed (be a professional). I can call the phone and can hear it ringing, but cannot see it. Has anyone else had this issue?
How much would it cost to send to the dealer to extricate the phone?

I shined a small/bright light into the space above the cup holder cover. If the phone slid off the top of the cover, it would have fallen on the driver side. The cover is next to a barrier on the passenger side and the phone could not have fallen in that direction. It also would not have slid off the back of the cover because the cover turns up at the end that blends it with the dash and leaves very little room between the cover and the dash when closed.

My ML's cupholder ate my friend's keys on the way back to the Park & Ride once but at least we knew where they were. This blog has had discussions of disassembly of the console to get at the electronics. I posted removal of the passenger side panel once to get at the fuse panel. There is a phone sized panel to be pried out revealing a recessed 7 (?) mm bolt to allow removal of the entire panel. The little panel's location corresponds to the passenger's left knee, I think your phone is in there.

The phone was tethered to the charging cable When I went to pull the phone out by the charging cable, it had already shifted to the left and had gotten caught/wedged. The dealer was able to retrieve the phone, it was located on my driver side.
Lesson learned!
