intermittent random oil pressure light?

ok...so it isnt really "random" but rather it happens when the engine speed drops to 625rpm or less...now it only does this for a split second when coming to a stop or when a tremendous load is applied to the engine (by load i mean electric, brakes, steering, AC) or when very first shifting into gear and any one of the above are in use...ideally the motor hardly ever sees the above conditions but sometimes a combination can induce the random light...it was fine for a little while and now it seems to be back...

i recently changed the oil, and kinda fumbled around with the filter...might have hit the sensor cause i was working blind...and i'll admit that it never happened before this except when the level was genuinely LOW...and i mean not showing on the stick...

oil level is finemthis time though...car consumes a little between changes (about a qt or so) and i go by the OLM when i do changes.

no bucking, hesitation, loss of power, knocks, pings, taps, etc...or anything indicating any tremendous issues or gross problems with obvious things...

sensor seems to be about 26 bucks through gm parts direct and on ebay there is one at a couple bucks plus 7 shipping...

you guys think i should just replace this sensor and then see if the conditions exist? i also want to change the oil filter out with a new one...that isnt fram...i havent had an issue up to this point but anything to try to isolate the cause...

someone wanna cross-reference GM part number 12553175 to see if anyone else makes a sensor that will work?

i just hope my oil pump isnt getting "weak" or about to go...that would be bad...

thanks in advance!

For grins, shift to a (prefilled) WIX (51522) (check for YOUR part #), warmup for 10 miles and refill to halfway up the hashmark.....if that doesn't cure the problem, or lessens it, you may have a really "sensitive sensor"......easy to change, though. (Compare the size of the filter oil flow inlet holes....)
For $26 I'd change the sensor (A/C Delco). I doubt that the pump is failing.
