---------------------2013----------2014
Rear leg room-----36.06" --------35.4"
Front leg room-----42.44"---------42.6"
F Shoulder room---56.73"---------56.9"
R Shoulder room---54.72"---------54.8"

One complain I have about current CTS is rear seating room. So 2014 did not improve rear seating even with added 5 inch length? Hmmmm.

Wow ! The new CTS looks longer , odd. Although when I looked at the back seat at the auto show Friday It did look tight from a leg room stand point

I too was hoping the rear leg room would be greater when I heard the CTS would be 5" longer. Should have been a bit longer, not shorter!

Seems like 5 inches went to all but rear space. I think one commentator said the space wen to rear trunk area ..."stretched to rear end" ..

Here is cars.com says about front and rear space

Thanks for the link. It was good to see video because quite frankly, I was unimpressed with the photos. Seeing it in action allowed me to appreciate some of the angles better. I still prefer my 2012 coupe though.

Agree. Especially the Back. Seeing it on this video makes the car look more " refined" and definintly more conservative. Although the front is about as aggressive as you can get.

Thanks for the video, it gave a better perspective of the car. Two comments. One portion of the video showed the pasenger side vertical front LEDs not lite. I would have thought they would have fixed that. Also, all the pictures I've seen of the front end don't show any fog lights or are the vetical LED's supposed to have that function ??

Just like the XTS and ATS the vertical LED's are considered your fog lights.....

Darn, I was hoping there would be more room as well. I don't know the measurements, but the XTS feels more roomy when I sat in it. I guess this keeps the XTS relevant. My only complaint about my CTS is the lack of room, mostly knee room in the front (why does GM make all of their dashes protrude down so far) and the rear seat room. It is cramped back there for adults and uncomfortable on long trips.

the overall length is 5 inches more than the 2nd Gen but the wheelbase is only 1" longer
two thirds of an inch less rear legroom i wonder how noticeable that really is...

image.jpg Theory: added 5 inches to the looks of the front grill to look wedge shape. Look front end from side or from top. Just theory without knowing the trunk size.

So odd ? Guess if rear passenger space is tops then XTS makes sense. But I think the overall performance of the new TT CTS will finally trump BMW 5. Can't wait to see that comparison. !!!
