Hi,

I have a 95' northstar as a power plant for a mid engine custom chassis. The engine is actually running with a MS3-PRO (megasquirt ECU). I know there is a thread already explaining the difference between years, but I didn't found a definitive answer to my question.

I would like to use (if possible) the ignition system from 2000+ which is integrated on the cam covers, so....

1) the cam covers from a 2000+ can be fitted on a 95' heads? or....
2) the 2000+ ignition packs can be fitted on 95' cam covers?

For both options above, I'll also need to do some wiring, to match what I currently have, is there a schematic like the one below, but instead showing the ignition packs.

Any information will be truly appreciated.

Can't be done. Totally different cam covers (different valvetrains), ignition system principles, even the crankshaft reluctor wheel and CKP setup is different between the two year groups.

Look into the several Fiero forums and a standalone engine management system.
