I was noticing the tube faces upward toward the hood. I figured by cutting the front of it it would alow more cold air into the airbox. Anyone else cut the front of it to make it more like an air scoop?

You would have to drive through a puddle 3 feet deep. My last audi had a tube like that from the factory that faced forward. There were no drain holes and I never had problems. Been driving for a week now and no problems. I just popped the Rad. cover off and grill cover. Wedged my arm in there with a razor blade and cut the very front off. I am convinced alot more air now gets into my Volant Box.
