Intake manifold swap

I have a 2008 CTS V6
I am about to change the ignition coils on 1 & 2. It’s requiring me to take of the manifold off so might as well do a swap. I know there has been information on this matter but not all topics have been touched.
I have questions regarding the wiring on the throttlebody.
What I am trying to accomplish is swap over from the aluminum intake manifold over to the plastic one.

please this is my first time posting on a forum if I left any information or anything please don’t bash me. I’m reading a post from 2004 would like any updated info

It's most likely the LY7 if the intake manifold is in the way of the coils. The intake ports on all three manifolds (LY7, LLT, LFX) are shaped different and that alone would require some port matching. I don't recall what the difference is, or may be regarding the retaining bolt arrangement between different cylinder heads and possibly the throttle body. I recall the swap having been performed backward and forward between the LLT and LFX on the Camaro and on at least one, an OE intermediate spacer was involved that I vaguely recall was from another GM plastic manifold. There are several different designs.

JacFab has/had spacers that allowed you to use either intake on either engine. Not sure of the details how to accomplish however.

It is not a hard job at all. I just did my 2011 CTS coupe last Thursday.

Here is a list if every this I did last Thursday:

Performance mods already performed:

Custom (my own design):
3.5” cold air intake

76mm ported Throttle Body

Ported to 78mm composite intake manifold with JabFab Lamintor FX molded in: This unit weighs about 8-9lbs less the stock aluminum unit and lower the heat soak by a good amount and increase Air flow my about 20%.

RX Insolator: This unit lower the intake manifold temperature up 40 degrees.

Also change spark plugs and coils, which upon removal of the plug they really didn't need changing, but bought the CTS back in June so change them anyways.

It easier quicker than my friends 2015 Q70 3.7L which it wasn't before

There is 3 more performance mods in the works. Just know this way something wicked comes.
