do you have old struts? go under car and plug in wire harness to old struts. do not mount them. turn on car and check codes. should be able to clear them and verify if strut internal wiring or valving is the issue.
Installed "new" used rear struts and now more problems?
So I scored some rear struts off a 99 STS with 75k on it, installed them on my car (99 sts with 150k) and they work perfectly. BUT Now "service suspension, service stability system and service idle control" all pop up on my DIC. They never showed up until I installed the struts, I've checked and checked all the wiring, air lines ect.. all are fine. I'm hoping it's something simple if all of these popped up at one time, but I don't have a clue where to start, I've cleaned all ground locaions, unhooked the battery to reset everything, no change. Car is running fine (besides randomly blowing etc fuse?) Only codes are : C1721, C1722, C1782, P0550, P1520. All are history, but when I clear all the codes and take a drive they all come back and still pop up history. Any ideas? thanks for your help!

99 has stabilitrak which adds another layer to complexity compared to non-stabil cars. are you sure the shocks are GM OEM stuff and not aftermarket? could be passive dummy shocks that have lift control but no ride control.
you said original shocks had 150k miles but did not say if there were any issues with them. leaky, no lift, codes, wimpy damping? used parts with lower miles sounds good till you install them and codes pop up. OEM shocks are very pricey but you probably know that. what did you pay at boneyard?
you got a used compressor also? was old one shot? thread started with "new shocks". you never mentioned bad compressor, leaky shocks. it sounded like your rear shocks were ok to start with and you found some nice used ones and now you have codes. maybe you should have said your rear was shot and put on some used parts to fix it.
