Hey, everyone im posting today because I desperately need help with my 2001 SLS I have had this car for over a year now and it's been a problem ever since I got it. Currently, I'm pulling these codes
  • P0335-Crankshaft Position Sensor “A” Circuit Malfunction
  • P0340-Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  • P0385-Crankshaft Position Sensor "B" Circuit Malfunction
  • C1214-system relay contact or coil circuit open
  • C1248-Dynamic Rear Proportioning Control System
I have tried everything I know to fix these problems such as replacing the sensors, checking the wires, cleaning grounds, and resting the car many times. The service stability message use to come and go but now its always on along with the brake, traction control, and abs light. The crank/camshaft position sensor codes have also been very inconstant sometimes they won't turn on for a month or so then they'll pop up for like a few days to a week then disappear again. I'm completely desperate at this point I have used up all my knowledge about cars and I'm now completely lost about what's wrong with my car. Hopefully, some of you can shed some light on the situation I would greatly appreciate it. Also if there is a better place to post this let me know thanks!

Welcome to CF !!!

"Circuit" in the 0335/0385 code definitions for CKP faults implies wiring or connectors as opposed to the "sensor performance" in codes 0336/0386. Same for the CMP code.

The C codes refer to ABS circuits.

Is the car a flood salvage ? Or had extensive coolant or water leakage under the hood? Have you checked the PCM wiring connectors? Inside the air filter/PCM box.

This Seville forum, and the Engines; Northstar forum, is the place to post for our cars.

Seville Luxury Sedan, so "Seville SLS" is sort of redundant.

Thanks for the help! It's not flood salvage but it had the top coolant hose burst and sprayed coolant all inside the engine bay. So ill check the wiring on the pcm and make sure everything is clean and secure.

Good for you - PCM failure is highly unusual, but live and learn .............perhaps the coolant leak messed it up.
