I bought and imported a 2008 STS in the US that is under warrantee until Nov 2011. I had it in for an oil change yesterday and was informed that the free service is not provided on US in Canada.

Questions:
  1. Has everyone experienced this that have imported a Cadillac to Canada?
  2. Has anyone gone back to the US for free service?
Thanks and I hope I get some replies.

By free service do you mean some kind of oilchange for life thingy?
I had warranty work done on my 05 cts-v 4 days after it ran out, we agreed the problem was more then 4 days old, they just used the out of warranty fact to not get me a rental car. But all the work was done free under warranty.

A friend of mine brings up Cadillacs from the States and he mentioned that they do not include normal service once they are in Canada. Warranty is still good though.

Thanks John. I was wondering if anyone that has imported a car from the US, has gone back to the US for service and if it was the same as US warrantte/service was.
