I have found a possible flaw on both the XTS and CT6 that IMO, should have been caught by Quality Control that probably no owners have notice.
On both the drivers and passenger side at the rear wheel well at the point that the bumper meets the rear wheel it comes to a point. Directly above that point there is an imperfection on the body of the car that gives the appearance of a dent. It is hard to see because it almost looks like it is just the way the light reflects on that area but it is a bend in the metal. The best way to see the imperfection is to look at that area at an angle. You can also feel the area and you will be a able to feel the bend. It is more noticeable on the passenger side than the drivers side. Once you see it you will know that it is there. It is something that is better off left alone than try to have corrected but I am surprised that it was not caught by quality control.
If you have notice it and thought perhaps someone hit your car with their door, probably not, what you may be seeing is this imperfection that is probably due to something that probably was not quite right when that rear panel was formed.
I checked other 2019 XTS and CT6 on the dealers lot and found the same. I also saw the same on my brother in laws new 2019 XTS.

I was at the dealership on yesterday and decided to take another look and every 2019 XTS and CT6 had this imperfection.

I have checked my 2019 (CT6 #3) and I haven't noticed the imperfection as described. Now I wish I hadn't looked, because I discovered a loose gap between the entire plastic lower trim panel and the upper rear fender. These vehicles are hung together with plastic clips. It's a large body panel wraps from the wheel wells all the way around the rear bumper. I was hoping that I would get a CT6 that stays intact within its first 3,500 miles, but at least this is a minor flaw that can be repaired at its next service visit, I hope.

I had this issue on my 2016 CT6. The plastic (or whatever) splash shields that protrude downwards and just forward of the rear wheels split and became detached. I simply used epoxy to glue them back in place and that held fine for the rest of the time I had the car. I also put a dab of epoxy on the clip joints.

Unfortunately the design is the same on my 2019 CT6. So far (4000K) all is OK but I have the epoxy ready if and when.

Regarding the rear fender "imperfection" issue....my CT6s did not show that. However the front left fender on the 2016 had something similar...it was like the fender did not align exactly right and they had to force it into place. Keep in mind that we are talking Cadillacs here which frankly do not have the same body fit and finish as the Germans and the Japanese.

That said, I am immensely enjoying my 2019 Platinum....it has an incredible balance of luxury and sport driving capability that I would have thought would be impossible to achieve. Hats off to the GM engineers in that regard. That is exactly the kind of driving performance that I was looking for. Also...no problems at all to report AND the transmission is as smooth as can be! Really lovin' it! Sometimes I just take this car out to drive it around as if I was a teenager with my first car....it has been a very long time since I did that with any car.

I just traded my '17 XT5 for a '19 CT6 and while I liked the XT5, the CT6 is definitely notches above in ride quality, responsiveness and quietness (and the XT5 wasn't bad to begin with). I wanted to get back into a sedan and my choice of CT6 seems to fit the bill for me. Previous to the XT5 I had an '11 STS (which was top-notch in my book and was only replaced because of an accident which totaled it; not my fault). And to quote Fred again, "Really lovin' it". ?
