I have found a possible flaw on both the 2019 XTS and CT6 that IMO, should have been caught by Quality Control that probably no owners have notice.
On both the drivers and passenger side at the rear wheel well at the point that the bumper meets the rear wheel it comes to a point. Directly above that point there is an imperfection on the body of the car that gives the appearance of a dent. It is hard to see because it almost looks like it is just the way the light reflects on that area but it is a bend in the metal. The best way to see the imperfection is to look at that area at an angle. You can also feel the area and you will be a able to feel the bend. It is more noticeable on the passenger side than the drivers side. Once you see it you will know that it is there. It is something that is better off left alone than try to have corrected but I am surprised that it was not caught by quality control.
If you have notice it and thought perhaps someone hit your car with their door, probably not, what you may be seeing is this imperfection that is probably due to something that probably was not quite right when that rear panel was formed.
I checked other 2019 XTS and CT6 on the dealers lot and found the same. I also saw the same on my brother in laws new 2019 XTS.

Pictures?
It is hard to see in pictures but as I know where it is I have been able to detect it on some cars from pictures that I have pulled up on some cars on the dealership web sight.
I will try and see if I can take a picture from my car and post it.

Right above where the bumper comes to a point. There is a bend or small crease in the body that is like a very small dent. It is not as noticeable on the drivers side as it is on the passenger side.
I took the car to a paint less dent removal company that confirmed it was an imperfection that they would not try working with and felt it was better just left alone and I agree. To correct it would mean a portion of the panel would have to be repainted and it is not worth braking the factory paint job over this.
The average person may never notice it unless it is pointed out to them.

I just looked on my '18, I can't see it.
Check both sides. If you cannot see it nor feel it good. For whatever the reason it may just be on the 2019’s as it was on the 2019’s that I have seen it. There is also a possibility like everything else all cars may not have this issue.
If you can rub your fingers in that area and not feel any unevenness you are probably ok. The light area that you see is light reflection which also can makes the imperfection hard to see so feeling for unevenness in that area helps out too.

Keep in mind I am talking about the 2019's and possibly the 2018's. It is more and likely how the metal was pressed out in that particular area. On the drivers side the dent is hardly noticeable at all, but on the passenger side it is a little more visible.
It is not a major deal but once you see it, you have to wonder if it was not something that quality control should have caught. I know that no car is perfect but GM /Cadillac still take a little bit of a hit when it comes to fit and finish.
I am still happy with my XTS and have no regrets with the trade. I do hope that GM/Cadillac comes out with a software update for the CUE screen display sometimes defaulting to the home page. In my conversation with the Cadillac Advisor a few days ago it was stated that engineering is still working on a software update but no time frame was known.

I was at the dealership on yesterday and decided to take another look and every 2019 XTS and CT6 had this imperfection.
