Talk me out of it please. I got a offer from a local ford dealer and i know it would build my cred which is horrible if i got it. But is it worth it?I can't get approval anywhere but here and was wonder is it worth it to help my credit by getting rid of my STS which i like stock, but despise because it has no aftermarket for performance.Like the Camaro Z28 that ruined my cred because a dumb security company i worked for.

It might sound dumb of me but what is an example of a unsecure loan? Is that like a loan from the bank or something. AndI have a Cedit card can that help me build my cred up fast?

The best way to build a credit rating is to not need it.

If the STS is reliable and paid for, keep it and save your money.

The advantages to the Ford are: you will get better mileage and it probably has much fewer miles on it than your Cadillac. It should last you longer.

The disadvantage is--DAMN! Did you see how small that seat is? You'll probably be very uncomfortable.

If you're worried about credit, etc., spend some time with this guy:

It will change your entire outlook. I wish I had known what he teaches when I was 22.

The only reason i was thinking about it was the fact that the zx3 has alot of c.a.r.b approved mods like superchargers and turbokits plus a alot of body mods.I decided not to get it because i was asking questions on a focus forum and there is a quite afew with $4k-$5k in mods and still slower than a stock 95'STS. My STS has 107k but what scares me is the price if anything breaks or anything.I may be approved to get a Mustang GT so i will see later today to see what happens.

well the dealer pissed me off by calling my caddy a breakdown ready to happen then they try to screw me by double charging on certain things on the invoice and things the dealer tacked on to get more money.I told him i just rather keep my comfy 300hp Caddy then getting a ford screwjob and i snatched my keys and walked out

Well they have reason to try to take advantage of you. They've all learned from Mitsubishi what happens when you sell cars to kids who can't pay for them and have bad credit...

ok... did the stupid fairy visit you or something? go get a loan from a bank for like a thousand bucks and pay it off as soon as possible. then get a credit card (you'll only have like a small 200 dollar spending limit) and buy some things and pay it off. that is what i have done and i have a good credit score. no trading Cadillac for a ford... i think my 3 yo neice is smarter (just trying to talk you out of it).

Esteemed Caddyfriends,

A bad idea got worse.
What were you thinkin'?
Keep the Caddy.
Revisit the issue if the
headgasket goes. Otherwise,
stick with the HP of the STS.
It is paid for, so there's one less
expense.

Credit is easy to get. There
has been some excellent
advice provided herein.
Carsalesman will get away with
what they can, that's their racket
& they have families to feed.

Best Regards,

TomDeville :cool2: :cool2:

Sure......here's something to think about.......look at how much Ford stock is worth right now! :sneaky: They are JUNK BOND status!...Less than 8 bucks a share from today's report!.....I think probably the Mustang and the trucks are keeping them alive at this point, and if worse comes to worse I wouldn't rely on the government to bail them out like what happened with Chrysler in the old days, FAT CHANCE! :D ......(p.s. look at Toyotas $91.87 per share!!!)

DaimlerChrysler AG (ADR) DCX 51.10 +0.34 (+0.67%)

Ford Motor Company F 8.71 -0.22 (-2.46%)

General Motors Corporation GM 26.42 +0.94 (+3.69%)

Honda Motor Co. Ltd. (ADR) HMC 28.63 +0.89 (+3.21%)

Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. (ADR) NSANY 22.58 +0.33 (+1.48%)

Toyota Motor Corporation (ADR) TM 91.87 +2.23 (+2.49%)

Im not trading the caddy now.I still owe about $2k at a tote dealer on it and was'nt sure if i wanted to pay for it or not but now i am sure i have a reliable car so i will keep it.If I get another car it will be a 2nd car. As for my credit I already have 2 credit cards 1 i just paid the entire balance so i owe nothing on it and im about to do the same for the other.I might get a little loan or something to get some rims and tint or something like that if i can get approved.

There you go.

The only thing a Focus was better at than your car is handling and fuel economy. I couldn't begin to list what your car is better at than a Focus...
