I tried to add it to the playlist but that just what it does . go to my play list with the music. I want music seperate from movies.

Hello...
Are you using Windows Media Player 9 or 10?
In WMP 9, go to "Media Library" and create a new folder to put the movie in.
After the movie is placed in WMP, make sure you don't move the movie to a different location
or the player won't play it because it can't find it.
I haven't looked at WMP 10 closely yet, so I don't know...should be similar.
Post back if you are successful.

Is there an "add to list" icon??

I'm trying to figure out how to send a video from media player because the file button seems inaccessable from there...

I see an ad to library button at the bottom of the page. I can click it and then go to the folder were the movie is, but it wont add.

I can also play the movie using Window media player but it wond save in the media player library. at one time I did it but it saved in my music playlist instead of video play list. I didnt want it in the music playlist with the music. I wanted the movie with the videos.

Now I cant do either one.

Not sure what windows I have.

speaking of wmp.. does anyone know where to get free codecs? For some reason I seem to be missing some when trying to play music videos.

Depends on what you call free....*snicker

You always have access to the underground, ummm....pirated stuff

However if you call free to imply no cost "freebie" I would check the web site of the manufacturer for your video card and sound card for updated codecs.

OK, what you could try is "dragging" the file from the box on the left into the now playing list, etc. Maybe copy and paste? Months ago i was able to left click and drag when I was attempting to burn net radio.

Hello...

Yes, Drag+Drop is the easiest way to get the movie into the folder.
