I guess the '83 Mustang V6 I owned for years was just a figment of my imagination then.
Haha, yep! Sorry to say, but those other two cylinders were just decoys.

Pictures will likely not arrive until my next day off, which is Tuesday. And I promise, I did outrun that Mustang with the Mark IV. Shocked the crap out of me too. The bigger carb wouldn't have helped, would it? I'll admit to being very rusty on a carb motor and what helps.

(The guy I bought it from had tossed on some bigger carb. Additionally, the exhaust is pretty low restriction right now. Age)

I think they used that 3.8L V6 in the Mustang for a few years in the early '80s.

Yep, that's right Rick...in the late '80s and early '90s, it was either the 2.3 I-4 or the 5.0, that started in 1987. Between 1983-86, they offered their 3.8L V6 in the Mustangs as an option, but not available with the GT package...I think for the most of the time, it was a carb setup, but I might be wrong, that would explain for the awfully low power output (112-120hp) and from 79-82, they offered the 200 I-6, and in 1979 only, they had a 170 cid V-6.

Well my '83 was carbed and although it was slow it wasn't that bad. Off the line it was ok but things got real bad when you got into the higher rpm's. My friend had an '84 V6 and that had fuel injection.

I like that year Lincoln as well. I think they are a touch more reliable than the Cadillacs. They exterior is may-be a little more elegant, but the Cadillacs seem to have a nicer interior.

You are part of the rebel alliance and a traitor! Take him away!

Hmm for a Star Trek fan I'm not using many references...
